The ONE Africa Award recognises the exceptional work of organisations that are founded by Africans, based in Africa and working to help Africa achieve the SDGs. The US$100,000 award recognises innovative African efforts to fight poverty and incentivises more of such efforts.

The award recognises exceptional organisations and other groups demonstrating commitment and success in assisting Africans in meeting one or more of the SDGs through innovative advocacy-based programs.

The 2022 ONE Africa Award recognizes best practices by an African organization addressing social development issues through innovative advocacy in promotion of SDG attainment, by aligning with the #JobsNowAfrica Campaign which is focused on job creation. The organization that is selected as the winner will receive prize money of $100 000.

 

This Year, Four organizations were shortlisted from over 500 applications across Africa to win the award and after voting was done by the public and One Africa Judges who were asked to vote on which one should be recognized as the African-led organization addressing social development issues through innovative advocacy to promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and on November 14th 2022 Elena NGO Was Awarded the winner.
